From the Pastor's Desk
To the Saint Peter Primitive Baptist Church Family and to all who visit our site, please know that you are special to me because you are special to God. As pastor of this congregation, my family and I are so delighted to serve as spiritual leaders. I truly believe that whom God calls He enlightens; to whom He enlightens, He also entrusts; to whom He entrusts, He also equips; and to whom He equips, He also empowers to fulfill the mission that He has willed for our lives. "Facing God”
So often our lives are entangled, our minds are so weighted down with anxiety and worries, that we are almost afraid to face life another day. Many of us experience these feelings. When we face the uncertainties of life, we need to constantly remind ourselves that God is with us in the darkness and His face is always toward us. When we put our trust in His word, we will find strength and comfort in the immovable assurance that God is already before us. Through Christ , His eyes are the eyes of love, tenderness and of deep compassion. Always remember that it is because of what Jesus did for us, that God has turned His face toward us. David says in Psalm 34, “the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears open upon their cry.” Psalm 50:14 says, “Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” As we look to the future, let us step confidently knowing that as we face God, He faces us! 1 Corinthians 2:9 states, “Eye hath not seen, nor ears heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” May God riches and blessings be upon us. – Pastor Large
As I See It
The secret to true happiness is only in God. There is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy. I must depend on God to make me happy and to meet my needs. When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply my needs according to HIS riches and He will never let me down. He knows all and can do all. I just have to trust Him. Only God in His infinite wisdom knows what is best for me. So, trust God; be happy and pass the secret on.
